Early Childhood Futures recognises multiple complexities in the lives of children, families and educators in contemporary society. These encompass continuing advances in digital technologies, such as generative AI and extended reality technologies, the role of trauma informed practice in advancing social and emotional learning, and recent child safety issues in the sector. In light of these complexities, the Early Childhood Futures program is predicated on a multi-disciplinary approach to co-designed research within education, health, parenting education, professional learning, child safety and the digital technology sectors, in collaboration with major employers and regulatory bodies, not for profits, non-government and government organisations.
